Hi, I’m Rachel and I Love to Travel

As i prepare to leave on another adventure, i was looking back at where my life has taken me. although las vegas has always been my home, there are so many places that have a little bit of my heart.

If you have ever spoken to me about travel, you know I can go onnnnn and on. I love hearing about other’s experiences, what they learned from other cultures and of course what treasures they brought home. One of my favorite things about our home is “The Travel Wall” - more on that here

What is so unique about is how small the world feels. There are times when I thought I’d NEVER be able to visit a city, see a building I learned about in architecture school, or saw a movie that had a stunning filming location - then somehow, I’m there and the world doesn’t seem so big.

With 17 countries and 87 cities explored, it’s hard to get them all in a gallery - but it was really fun pulling these photos! Before I list out all those countries and cities so we can compare notes, I want to hear from you!! If you want to connect and talk about past, near-future or buck list travel plans - I’d love to hear about it! My BIG bucket list trip is seeing the Northern Lights in Finland or Norway!

There is a list of cities I’ve visited in the United States, but among my favorites are… Chicago, Laguna Beach, Santa Fe, Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, New Orleans, Bend, and Salt Lake City (my bestie lives there, so they make the list)! I do need to make it back to New York to give that city another try, same with Washington D.C.!

As we are about to embark on a trip to Italy (Florence, Verona and Venice), I’m so excited to start my kid off on this same path - hopefully he loves travel as much as I do and my husband does!

We chose Italy to be the first destination for him because of the people and the food. When I studied abroad in Turin, everyone was so kind and patient. They embrace kids and the slower lifestyle reminds you to enjoy the moment. Plus this kid would only eat pasta if he could - I just hope he will still eat pasta when we get back and we didn’t spoil him for life!

There you have it - now I want to hear from you! Drop me a line or let us chat during our next meeting!
