Boulder Dam Postcards - set of 2
Here’s a bit of history - the Hoover Dam didn’t always have that name. It’s said the dam was originally to be called Hoover Dam after the 31st president but after he left office the name slipped to “Boulder Canyon Dam” or “Boulder Dam”. This pair of postcards are labeled “Boulder Dam” making these postcards pretty old! They were likely printed before 1947 when the name Hoover Dam stuck - thanks to our House and Senate. I love to use postcards in frames! Great for floating frames to so you can see the edges or in a larger 5x7 frame with a nice paper mat.
Collected in Las Vegas, Nevada
Size: 5-1/2”L x 3-1/2”W
